You may not have thought about seeing old Peter Cottontail at a Halloween party. Well I say think again; bunny Halloween costumes are still among the selected gear to be worn on this holiday. Who doesn't love the cuddly and fun image of a bunny rabbit, especially when you see one trick or treating on Halloween? And since this is Halloween, your rabbit can be half human and refuse to sit on an egg if you want. My point is that all rabbit Halloween costumes don't have to be the traditional ones we see on kids.

I'm asking you to step away from thoughts of eggs as well as baskets with weaved handles. There are bunny Halloween costumes around that don't scream Easter. You can make your costume like a cartoon character (think Wily Wabbit) or you can go for something a little more realistic. The decision is yours.

Sure, those can be done well, too. However, take your rabbit to the next level. If you enjoy the creepy factor on Halloween, look to movies like Donnie Darko for rabbit inspiration. I suppose technically, Frank was not a real rabbit, but you get the idea!

The cutesy rabbit will favor pleasant or traditional coloring. Go for a basic brown or pastel shades when you desire the adorable bunny look. A ""friendly"" rabbit tail is generally seen as a plump, round cotton ball shape. You can do much with the ears, although softly curved with a little extra wideness in the middle usually completes the child friendly look.

So the more real looking bunny Halloween costumes should have a natural looking color. A website on nature could be a good starting point when looking for specific details to make your costume more genuine. You will probably find that the tails are not actually so fluffy; tails are really more tapered on the end in an actual rabbit. You can even go so far as attempting to re-create their paws and tiny claws.

Get creative if you want take a nice bunny and make him not so nice; you could turn him into a buck tooth beast. Options are endless when it comes to transforming your rabbit into a more creepy variety. You could even use fake blood and carry something more disgusting than Easter eggs in your basket. Bunny Halloween costumes come in all varieties.

Children love animals. If your Halloween plans mean wearing your costume in public or at a party, where children may be present, be prepared. Ensure that your tail is attached securely. It is very tempting for some children to tug on Easter rabbit tails and ears, trust me, I have seen it happen.

Yes, those bunny Halloween costumes come in so many varieties. They can be as elaborate or as simple as you decide. The best thing to do is tug on your tail and make sure the costume can stand the day, particularly if children are around. There are bunny Halloween costumes to fit everybody's taste and style. Make it scary; make it sexy, make it plain; rabbit costumes are speak much more of Easter now. Edited by Hetsil Protage - 39969

Disco Costumes Offer Funky Options For Halloween

The American music scene made the turn toward disco in the middle part of the 1970s. The sound created when Latin, funk and soul were blending together resulted in a beat that people were able to dance to. The psychedelic influences seen in the clothing styles reflected the roots of the movement that reached back to the decade before. The funky and fun style is instantly recognizable and simple to imitate and that is what makes disco costumes so popular for party goers.

These fashion designs were all about getting noticed at a time with the vibrant club scene was in its infancy. Clothing made a statement, especially on the dance floor. Men were partial to polyester because it was easy to move in. Shiny fabrics were used in button down shirts that were left open at the top. Pants in solid, neutral colors were favored. Clothing for the ladies ranged from jumpsuits and hot pants paired with knee high boots to dresses that flowed and were patterned off popular Halston designs of the day. Fabrics were chosen for the way they reflected light off the ever present disco ball.

Ladies can choose between funky or glam but bright shiny fabrics work best either way. Pantsuits will feature flared legs and bell sleeves that flow freely to the music. Look for fabrics with busy patterns in shades of orange, purple and hot pink.

For the disco queen, metallics that sparkle are necessary. The shimmering look of gold lame looks fabulous under bright lights. Try a Spandex top and hot pants that leave the legs free to move. Lycra disco pants were made to hug the curves and the stretchy sequined tube top in silver or gold was pretty much the standard. All that moving around made the jumpsuit a popular choice as well. Sexy versions were available in halter top designs with a distinctive tear drop chest.

Suitable accessories are a hip belt made out of metal or plastic. Choose something that has large links shaped like squares, ovals or circles. Chunky costume jewelry including extra large hoop earrings were in fashion at the time. Complete this sexy look with platform shoes or boots.

Clothing worn to the clubs by men was no less eye catching. The disco dude transformation begins with a button down polyester shirt featuring wide pointed lapels and polyester pants in white or some other neutral color. The collar should be turned up and the first few buttons left undone. Finish this look with large sunglasses and a ton of gold chains worn around the neck. Throw in a medallion or two and a couple of wrist chains for good measure.

It is easy to find the perfect costume with inspiration from the colorful world of disco. Flashy fabrics and funky patterns dominated the style and the influence can still be seen in many of the retro fashions of today. Grab your dancing shoes and catch a little "Saturday Night Fever" at your next costume party. - 39969

Halloween is almost here again, and you know what late October means. Dressing up, of course! It can be challenging to find just the right Halloween costume for you. Halloween is one of those times of the year where you can truly be anything and anyone and that is why it is tough to narrow down the choices. Here, we are going to talk about some ways that you can find the ideal Halloween costume that does not only fit your beautiful body but also fits within your price range and makes you look awesome!

The first thing you need to do is to narrow it down a little. Decide on a general theme for your costume. This will make choosing a costume that much easier, for you already know the theme in which you should be picking the costume in. For instance, if you want to wear a scary costume, you should start looking for witches, phantoms and vampires. If you're thinking of a celebrity, how about Lady Gaga or President Obama?

Take some time picking a theme. There are so many out there with tons of great costume possibilities. Just make sure that you find a theme that fits your personality. Even within a theme, you'll probably want to narrow it down more. Do you want to be gory scary or sexy scary? A costume should make you look awesome and that is what you want to find.

So what are some of the hottest costumes for Halloween for 2010? The movie Alice in Wonderland was released this year, and it has lots of characters that make for great costumes. This theme is sure to be a hit whether you choose to dress up as Alice, the Mad Hatter, the Cheshire Cat, the Red Queen or any of the other characters. With each character, there are several different costume options, ranging from estravagent to sexy to simple.

Every year, witch costumes are popular. This may sound plain, but there's a reason it remains one of the top sellers year after year. Everyone loves to be a witch and no matter if you are a sexy good witch or a naughty bad witch, you want to choose the costume that fits with you and fits with what you are trying to do with the costume. Remember, if you are going to an adult party, sexier costumes are typically perfect and fit in well!

This brings up the point about appropriateness. Think about what kind of event you will be attending and take that into consideration when shopping for your costume. If you are going to a party where kids will be present, you might want to pick something that's not so sexy. That goes double if the kids will be right at the tween age where they want to dress sexy but their parents don't want them to!

After you've selected a theme for your costume, it's time to go shopping. Prices and quality vary widely, so do some homework to find one that fits with your budget. Some trendy costumes will only be worn this once, while other more classic designs might be worn again by you or someone else. Even though you want to get the perfect costume and look great at this year's Halloween party, you don't want to go broke.

As you can see, there are many different things to consider whenever you are choosing Halloween costumes and these are just a few points that you will want to go through before you choose the right costume for you! - 39969
